What Is a "Roll-Off" Dumpster?
The name describes exactly how it's delivered. Our trucks use a hydraulic rail system — the truck tilts the rail, and the dumpster rolls off the back and settles onto your driveway. Pickup works the same way in reverse: the driver hooks the rail to the container and it rolls right back onto the truck bed. No crane, no forklift, no lifting equipment needed on either end.
That's different from a front-load dumpster (the kind emptied by a garbage truck's forks) or a small trailer you tow yourself. A roll-off is a standalone open-top container, dropped at your address, left for you to fill, and hauled away whole when you're done.

Same footprint, different capacity. Because length and width never change, if a 14-yard fits your Cedar Hill driveway, a 21-yard will fit in the exact same spot — it just stands two feet taller.
Will It Fit Your Driveway?
Plan for about 16 feet of clear driveway length either way, and roughly 7–8 feet of width once you account for a little clearance on the sides. The main things to check before delivery day:
- Overhead clearance — branches, awnings, or low utility lines. The delivery truck itself needs 12–14 ft of overhead room while placing the container.
- Entry width — can the truck actually reach the driveway? Most Cedar Hill streets are fine; narrow gates or alleys may need a call ahead.
- Flat, stable ground — driveways and level yard areas both work.
Protecting Your Driveway
Surface Protection Available
We make reasonable efforts to protect the placement surface. For pavers, stamped concrete, or other sensitive surfaces, ask about plywood or boards under the container when you book.
Standard Driveways
For a typical poured concrete or asphalt driveway, no special protection is usually needed — the container sits flat with no dragging.
Ask Before Delivery
If your driveway is newer, decorative, or you're just cautious about it, mention it when you book and we'll plan accordingly.
Where It Sits
